Tonight I was trying to configure my VPN, but things are gone from bad to worse...
I had to reinstall Network Manager and now the only thing I see is at the top it says "Network Manager is not running" (grayed out). If I try to restart Network Manager it says network-manager star/running process 14223.
If I click with the right mouse button the "Enable Networking" is grayed out.
I reinstalled Network Manager:
network-manager
network-manager-gnome
network-manager-vpnc
network-manager-vpnc-gnome
libbm-util1 and libnm-glib2
Still the same thing.
Just to clarify, I cannot connect to my router with the cabel and not even talking about wireless...
Ifconfig -a shows all zeros both for my ethernet and wireless.
I am stumped! Have no clue what might be the problem...
