Who loves it, who hates it, and who is glad that their local sci-fi channel carries it? :)

I'm sure there must be some buffy fans here

lol
i cant say i hate it , but i prefer not watching it ... but if by any chance my tv sticks to it, i hav no problem watching it ... i like comedy oriented chapters, not the ones that Buffy thinks shes as kick a$$ as Jessica Alba in Dark Angel/Fantastic Four

id love 2 say i hate , but its not bad ...

plus... the girl earned my respect on her performance in THE GRUDGE :o

Are we talking about Buffy The Vampire Slayer?

No preference about Buffy here. But I do love Sarah Michele Gellar.

Buffy is pretty much my favorite show of all time. I've enjoyed every show Joss has created as a matter of fact. Though it did take me a good while to warm up to Angel.

I have all seven seasons on DVD. After MST3K probably my single favorite show.

My fiancee and I are both Whedon freaks. We don't OWN all the dvds, but we have seen all of Buffy, most of Angel, and all of Firefly. I personally think Firefly is his best show-- so original-- and I have no clue why it was cancelled. I'm just thrilled that they're doing a Firefly movie (though under the name Serenity) with all the original cast.

So Buffy had a clean ending mostly, and Firefly didn't really have time to have a good beginning, but Angel completely left us hanging. Has anyone heard anything about any Angel movies being produced? Joss had considered it I know.

And isn't it strange to think that the same guy who wrote Buffy, Angel, and Firefly wrote the Toy Story movies?

Also a big Whedon fan.
Buffy was not even on my radar until it was midway through its fifth season. Around that time I started watching the second season on daily re-runs & got hooked on the chemistry of the Scooby gang. The writing was great, but it was the humour & dialog that did me in.

I like posters of this buffy girl :P - the show is... well... too much of a chick-flick for my taste - but I guess thats ok for some.

Chick Flick? No way! Vampires and demons and sexy women, that's a show made for men if I've ever seen one.

Yeah man! hey, it's the only show with a musical I'm not ashamed to like ;)

Oh yes! That was a great episode. Have you heard the CD? You can hear Marti Noxon (one of the writers, who plays the woman trying to sing her way out of a parking ticket) saying that she isn't wearing any underwear. It's priceless.

But that's definitely not the only musical I like. because I am a dork/nerd/geek/pick one

OMG I need this cd now. That cracked me up the 1st-5th time I rewatched it ;)

You all are terrible influences! Now I have to pull out my dvds and watch the musical episode again.

And personally, I was a fan of Buffy+Spike and never a fan of Buffy+Angel. heh.
But then again, that might have just been my preference for spike... oooh baby!
Of course, SMG is a hottie-hottie... so see, she *has* to be with spike! heh.

See, I was a fan of Buffy and Spike toward the end, but in 6th season it was just too much destruction sex (you know, when they'd be pissed off but still getting it on, so they'd be like demolishing crap). That was just too screwed up, and definitely not a good relationship. But in 7th season you could tell that they really had a good thing even though they were trying not to admit it. By the way, did you all realize that James Marsters (Spike) is in his mid-40's, hails from Southern California (yes, that's right, he's not really british, but he can fake accents like nobody's business), and has a rockin' band called Ghost of the Robot? Seriously awesome stuff, you should check it out.

How about Willow's love life? She used to have a thing for Xander, but that would have never worked. Personally my favorite of her successful relationships is Oz. Most people say Tara, but I likes Oz the best. Don't get me wrong, Tara was awesome (and she can sing!) and she was very important to the show, but Seth Green just cracks me up, and he and Willow were very sweet together. But I hated Kennedy. Ooooohhhh.. I'm getting angry just htinking about her.

Anyway, links for those of you interested in some music:
Ghost of the Robot: http://www.ghostoftherobot.com/home.html
Anthony Stewart Head's (Giles) Album, also featuring Amber Benson (Tara), though for some reason she goes by Albertina Benson when she's doing music, Allison Hannigan (Willow) and the aforementioned James Marsters: http://www.ashead.com/media/4elevators/4elevators.html

Yes I knew that about James... and I still want to have his child. heh.
Willow and Oz were my favorite for the Willow love life... But Tara was a close second.

Alright, as will become obvious, I'm a big fan. Really big. Unhealthy, really.

The fiancee and I managed to download and watch every episode (including the unaired pilot) up to 7th season, which was showing at the time. So do we get an award?

And as for relationships: Buffy has horrible relationships every time. They're not bad guys, she's just bad at being with anyone, friends included. She is, by far, my least favorite character. Personally, I liked Willow and Tara. Yeah, yeah, Seth Green is adorable and funny and they were very cute...but he also cheated on her (and don't use the werewolf excuse) and then left without really talking about it with her. Grr...plus Tara is just endearing! I really like the way their relationship started, and the security they both got from it. So...yeah.

Here's a thought on Joss shows: I love them. All of them. And I'm with PanickedThumb, Firefly is my favorite. But have you noticed that there's a running character through all of them? Not a single character, just a type: there is ALWAYS the naive, kinda clueless girl...very smart and good at what she does, but she never knows what's going on. Willow, Fred (yay Fred! I admit it, I cried when she died...), and Kaylee. And every time, that girl is my favorite character. Ok, so I'm a sucker for socially impaired women who are actually really, really good at what they do. I guess maybe I identify a bit. Well, with the socially impaired part, at least...

Buffy, Angel, and Firefly are all brilliant. Hooray, Joss!

I'm truly amazed about finding this thread...I thought I was the only thirty-year old, who got up at seven in the morning, made a ten-cup coffee pot and indulged in two hours of buffy...

And to actually see that the really crafty ubuntu users (UBUNTU my favorite linux distro) like buffy...now I feel really good about my morning Buffy.

BTW, love the musical episode too...

LOVE Angel (hell, I'm hosting an Angel Marathon next weekend)

And from my chateau of the banks of "De Nile" what Lorne did to Lindsey (oh, evil never looked so good!) NEVER HAPPENED.

*gasp* sacrelige that you don't know!

No, they saved the world. A few people died, including Anya (grr, I liked her... why didn't they kill KENNEDY!) and Spike, though Spike didn't exactly die since he came back in Angel (and 5th season Angel ROCKED).

Poor anya! My favourite shot in the whole episode was her .(spoiler)and Andrew......"Bunnies! Floppy, hoppy, bunnies!"

She needs to return in some (any!) shape or form if there's ever a movie because she was my favourite character too :(

I actually learned to like Kennedy in the last episode too. She even admitted she was a brat ;)
