I just installed ubuntu on my hp dv9000 a few days ago. But it seems that my wifi card is not compatible out of the box. I've been trying to find a solution but with no luck.

I followed these instructions from here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper but i got stuck on step 3.3 number 2. Where can i find that .ins file?

Here is the driver that i downloaded http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ndiswrapper/index.php?title=Broadcom_BCM4311 (according to the lspci command this should be my driver)

So what i did is i exctracted this .exe file in my windows and looked for an .ins file but didn't find it. Did i dl the wrong file?

Please consider me a newbie on linux. Please help me on how to make my wifi card work.

THank you in advance!
