Maybe I'm ridiculously stupid for trying this, but...

So I am using a MacBook Pro that is configured, using Boot Camp, to run Mac and WIndows 7. I have a 2TB external hard drive that I am interested in installing Ubuntu on. (I really like having options of what system to boot to, and have had great fun with Ubuntu on my desktop). The hard drive has two partitions on it currently, one NTFS and one HFS+, for Windows and Mac, respectively. Each is 1TB. I would like to take 350GB off of the NTFS partition and devote it to Ubuntu. When I run the installer, and size the partition I would like Ubuntu to make on my external drive, it gives me some sort of sizing error. I am not sure what is wrong, but it then directs me to the advanced partitioning screen, which I understand some of, but most seems to be gibberish. I would LOVE to get some help.

Thanks mates,
Nick
