Here's the deal.

I just recently installed 11.04 Natty Narwhal to my system, yet when it went to go install and was supposed to overwrite my previous Ubuntu installation, it decided to go a bit further and swiped my whole hard drive. I'm not too worried about getting Windows back onto my computer, but I do need to retrieve some files on my old NTFS partition.

I've tried a bunch of stuff, from gddrescue to testdisk, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm quite a novice in Ubuntu-land, so chances are I took a wrong turn somewhere. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Morridin

P.S. Results from default deeper search in testdisk comes up with a few NTFS partitions that I can't access because "The filesystem seems damaged."
