hi guyz,
i have been trying to install "net2phone"- a voip software both in wine and virtual box-->windows xp.
i am using Ubuntu 10.10 on an Asus K 50ij SX 108 A.
in wine, cant hear on either ends (i.e both me & the other party).
in virtual box, i can hear the other party, but they cant hear me.
i couldnt find any useful links on the net. i tried meddling with the equalizer. but that also didnt work. can anyone help me?
thanx in advance

i had same problem with a friends XP machine. Check mic settings in sound prefs AND mic pref- in the voip software. Hers was set to wong option in voip interface and when changed worked fine.

In Ubuntu 12.4 with the new WINE I found it to work better than on Windows.. no special adjusting.
