Hey folks whats the best dvd program for ubuntu i used brasero and gnome maker and wouldn't burn it unless i did something wrong

What kind of dvd are you burning for burning a dvd movie i use tovid it works great.

Try Nero Linux 4. It's excellent.

An .avi or .mpg file needs to be encoded first to dvd mpeg-2 format. For encoding, I used command line tovid-interactive, a subset of the tovid package. Once you have the .mpg then you author the disc. For this I use devede. devede can also encode, I just prefer the tovid.

Be prepared to make many 'coasters' before getting the process down to factory work :-):popcorn:

Try Nero Linux 4. It's excellent.

Small update. It has got some problems but even with error code at the end DVD is properly recorded. Perhaps MD5 checksum fail ?
