i am attempting to load Ubuntu and following the guide I am using Universal USB Installer but I am constantly getting an Error 1. At one point I was getting a block by the antivirus software but I have disabled that and still no joy.

My drive has been populated with many files but I can't seem to run the install

Also, I cant seem to locate the meaning of an error 1

any assistance appreciated

Reboot your computer and look into the BIOS. You should have the option to change the boot device order. Put usb keys first.

Or if you can't see that option at all, maybe you have one of these machines which won't boot from a usb stick. If this is the case use a CD.
