Hi there,

I successfully installed Zephael's drivers (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10242822&postcount=569) on Linux Mint 10 (Ubuntu 10.10).
Following his descriptions and looking for some information about Modelines (http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/XServer_Modelines) I managed Compiz working on my Amilo Pro V3515.
But now I'd like to use apps like Celestia that do need OpenGL 2.
That's why I'm searching for a possibility to get the VIA Chrome 9 driver compatible to OpenGL 2.

Thanks for your effort
taidoka

Hello again,

no answers yet...
I think it's impossible. So I'm glad that the driver supports OpenGL 1.4 and Compiz is running.

Strange, that it's only me posting here.
Anyway, if someone wants to know here are some articles related to that issue:
VIA's Open Linux Graphics Driver Has Been Defenestrated (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=ODk4Nw) [Phoronix]

You'll find additional information about the VIA drivers issue on this site. I'm going to close this thread.
