Will anybody tell me how to edit Grub on Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Remix to change default OS?:)

Haha, sorry I don't have UNR installed, but do you have Terminal as one of the Applications?

If not, can you press ALT+F2 and get a "run" type menu? If you can do that, you can type in gnome-terminal and press enter there then:

If so, open it and type in (and press enter at the end):

gksudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Now my grub looks like this:

Let's say I wanted to move OpenSuSE 11.4 to the top of the list, I would just cut from:

menuentry "GNU GRUB 2 -- openSUSE 11.4 - GNU GRUB 2 (on /dev/sda3)" {
insmod part_msdos
insmod ext2
set root='(hd0,msdos3)'
search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set ecedd36f-609e-4459-8d58-b0685e1ea488
linux /boot/grub2/core.img root=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD5000BEVT-22ZAT0_WD-WXG0AA9J6938-part3 resume=/dev/sda5 splash=silent quiet showopts vga=0x317
}

So from menuentry.... to the } of that menuentry.

I would paste it between:

### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/10_linux ###

and

menuentry 'Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-27-generic' --class ubuntu --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os {
recordfail
insmod part_msdos
insmod ext2
set root='(hd0,msdos1)'
search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set 33bcac49-1d64-49fb-ad53-2151dfe20e36
linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-27-generic root=UUID=33bcac49-1d64-49fb-ad53-2151dfe20e36 ro crashkernel=384M-2G:64M,2G-:128M quiet splash
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.35-27-generic
}

And then save the file. Then reboot.
