Hi, I've been trying to install the proprietary ATI drivers from the .run file from their site as per this link https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI

I can follow the steps perfectly until step 16, at which I am informed that the command aticonfig is not found.

I have a Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics card.

Any help would be appreciated; I would like to get these drivers installed :)

You might not need to do this manually. Go to System > Administration > Additional Drivers and the wizard can take care of it for you.

Thanks guys, I wasn't thinking clearly.

Turns out I am using the proprietary drivers and the problem which I thought was caused by graphics card drivers was caused by something else (now corrected). Go figure; I guess that's just ubuntu for you.
