Video editors fast forward video and there is no sound

I'm using Ubuntu and when I try to use Kdenlive or Openshot, and Y try to use a video effect that increases the speed of the video, there is no sound suddenly, and also when I tried to reverse the video on Openshot, there wasn't sound either, I wonder what could be causing this.
