Installing problem with Sony Laptop

I got Sony Vaio Laptop, Model:VPCCW15G. I have downloaded Ubuntu 10.10 64bit,
I got no OS on laptop, when i am trying to install Ubuntu 10.10 Ubuntu Screen Flash when i try to Install or try to run live at that time screen gets off. CD condition is good, i have install it on desktop with same CD. I am very much new to linux. i am using linux for 1st time.

Please help me with this.

Your explanation isnt clear as what is happening. Did you use Live CD ISO? Just boot the system with the cd and tell us step by step what is happening.
