I am building a media center for my telelvision.
I have a graphics card for the purpose, an Abit R9200SE-DT (http://www.firingsquad.com/hw/3299/ABIT_R9200SE-DT/) because I need the S-Video connector.

My problem is, that the graphics card does not work in the computer that I want to use. I have another "much louder" computer where the card works great. What could be the cause?

I have tried to switch the power adapter, to test if the problem was a lack of Watts, but that made no difference.

Using a computer monitor connected to the VGA in the graphics card, I see the BIOS and I see grub, but nothing after that.

Everything works when I disconnect the graphics card and use the VGA from the motherboard.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nevermind, I gave up. It was probably a problem with the motherboard.
