View Full Version : [ubuntu] "Places" not working

Hii,
I'm new to Ubuntu & been using 4 a week now.I have a problem that whenever I try to browse through any of it-Pictures, Documents, Music, Videos or anything listed under the "Places" button there is a message thar "There was a error installing the selected file. It does not appear to be a valid theme"

So I a not able to access any of the places.

Could suone plz plz help?

Did you try to change your Desktop theme?

Go to Desktop and Just press the print button on your keyboard and show us the picture of you r desktop. may be it could help.

Sounds like appearance preferences is opening and not the file browser. Try the method at the link.
