Can you give us any more information? Perhaps hardware specifics? Also is it with everything? IE...if you just put in a standard audio cd does it do that? or is it just with MP3's? Does anything jump out at you in /var/log that can help here?

Well, installed SuSE on my desktop last night, and it simply wouldn't cooperate. 3D Nvidia was a mess while the fonts looked plain ugly.

It runs very smoothly, however, on my laptop, so I'll keep its setup.

My desktop is running Fedora w/ KDE + FAUMachine (which is a _USER SPACE_ VM, no kernel krap needed), after dealing with Ubuntu KDE 3.3.x.

Hoary absolutely ruined KDE -- the menu structure changed to match GNOME, which meant plenty of stuff wasn't anywhere to be found. If you aren't gonna support KDE, at least leave it alone!


If things don't work out in Fedora for me, I may be recompiling Debian Sid KDE as a backport/extra for Hoary.
