Hi! Im trying to find a way to install ubuntu on a desktop/laptop without setting up a user account. Is it possible? Im giving the computer to someone and want to let them pick the username/password/timezone when they turn the computer on for the first time. Is there anything like that? Also would there be a way to add certain programs to the install disc. like Docky for example. Then after the setup they would have a dock waiting for them. Thanks

Do an OEM install ?

Press F4 at the Live CD options screen. (Try before installing ect).

you need at least an account to be able to loggin then, so create a generic admin account, your client will create its own later if he want a private one.
