My boss is blind. He gives powerpoint presentations to teach classes and make presentations. To help him with this, we place little audio cues on each slide to remind him of what is on that slide.
Well the audio cues are potentially distracting for the audience, so now it's my job to find a way that he can hear the audio cues from the powerpoint presentation on the laptop but the audience can't.
My first thought are those wireless ear pieces you'll see motivational speakers and restaurant hostesses wear. What are these called, where can I find them, and what's a reasonable price for them? Do they interface directly with computers or do I need some kind of middleware?
I'm really at a loss for where to look for these things so I figure I must not have the right name. I've tried googling every combination of "wireless ear piece/ear phone/headset/etc" that I can find and I get nothing like what I'm looking for.
Thanks for any help.
