I heard that Linus Torvalds at CES announced that the new Linux kernel will support older drivers. Do you know if my Broadcom BCM4318 will be supported for my ethernet laptop? I'm having a lot of trouble installing this manually.
Also, is this kernal the same for all Linux distributions? Are the supported drivers the same as for Ubuntu, Mint, RedHat, and so on?
