Hi there.
I have ubuntu10.04, Windows XP MCE, Windows 7 Ult. and iDeneb 10.5 currently on my system. I have many packages already installed in ubuntu and don't want to install those again. For some reason I need to reinstall Windows XP and by doing this I will loose all of my boot entries. I can surely recover everything but not ubuntu. Old tricks are not working for me. Please help me in restoring ubuntu 10.04LTS loader.
Thanks in advance.

try
'Reinstalling from LiveCD'
This section is near the end of the long page at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2

I have used it several times and it is easy if you at first take your time.
