I hope this gets some more support, I think its brilliant, I always wonted
this feature, I hate using all these web site based services, I feel i don’t have control over my content,

thanks for this, its fantastic.

Hey thanks allot, good to see some people supporting this. I know its currently lacking but as we reach a stable release in a few months it will get better and better. I am so far quite proud of changes I have made in Alpha which includes sql based menus, bookmarks (that actually works) admin area and a bunch of other stuff.

Keep checking out http://ubuntucenter.info for news and updates and spread the word.

Thanks,

nice one, out of intrest do you think you could make the bookmarks compatible with Epiphany, that would be great,

or should i just use firefox, as you are making a plugin for it as i understand,

eather way this is great and i wish you all the best,

while I am not making an actual plugin for firefox...yet... the bookmarks can import bookmarks from firefox. I am not sure how epiphany exports bookmarks so I can't test. There is also a button you can drag to your bookmarks toolbar that says "Bookmark" when you click that it pops up a little window that lets you bookmark your current page. If you want to send me an exported epiphany bookmarks file I can test it, if you don't, no big deal.

hay,

just found out that you can export the bookmarks as the native RDF format or mozilla html,
however, epiphiny does not seem to wont to export the bookmarks in mozilla html format.

so i am afraid i have only included the rdf format.

ill post a bug report over to the crew and see if they can fix it.

Yeah, thanks. Unfortuantely it can't read that format there is a way to convert RDF to mozilla using a command in the Epiphany FAQ

I think this is a really cool app. I'm using the first alpha release now and its fun to play with it. =D>
This stuff is a really good idea especially that it is easy to install so you don't have to play around with this scripts to much.
When can we expect an plugin to stream videos ?
So keep up this good work.

You will have the ability to play videos when Ampache has it, which will be version 3.4 I believe. I am hoping there will be a way to transcode to make it able to stream at a lower bitrate so you can watch it over the internet without too much buffering if you have a decent upspeed.

this would be greate, I had some problems with installing the alpha version, because i could not figure out how to setup mysql, also
as stupid as i was, i downloaded the pre-alpha DOUH..and installed that, then thought oh sh*t, i ment to download the alpha, never mind, a total system re-install is due anyways, ubuntu re-install in under 30minutes, gota love that,

gone are the days of waiting for windows to install over 2hours and enter this and that.
