I've got an Ubuntu VPS set up with 10.04 and I just re-installed the OS yesterday. Despite what I'm guessing is a clean install the ssh connection consistently times out while I'm doing some basic tasks. I've tried "sudo apt-get upgrade" 3 times today and it's stalled and then timed out every time, and it looks like the current attempt is going to fail as well. What could the problem be? I did the re-install through the provider's control panel, and they're a pretty reliable company with a good reputation. Could it be a bad install? Is another VPS on the server hogging all the memory or bandwidth? I kind of got this VPS as a learning experience so assume I'm a beginner.

Thanks
