Favorite applets

Here are three applets I like which aren't included in the default "Add to Panel" window:

Browser Bookmark Menu (http://browserbookapp.sourceforge.net/) - dropdown list with your prefered browser's bookmarks
Quick Lounge (http://quick-lounge.sourceforge.net/) - dropdown menu that you can fill (and order) with programs, a sort of little Applications Menu.

Web Sharing (http://veldstra.co.uk/websharing/) - for easily running a little server (Mathopd (http://www.mathopd.org/)) where you can host downloads or html files. Just start it up and point your browser to your computer's IP, port 8000 (e.g. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000). Drop any files you whish to share in the "Website" folder placed in your home dir.

Bookmark applet (http://www.gnomefiles.com/app.php?soft_id=278).
It's sort of like the places menu in the new versions of Gnome. It uses the gtk2 file selector bookmarks and opens nautilus in the selected folder. Sorry, no screenshot.

There are a couple of applets I use regularly:
Bubblemon
Dictionary Lookup
Weather Report
Workrave

However there is a new applet I'm looking forward to:
bmp-docklet/applet for my media player... but I have to wait for the upgrade to beep-media-player either in warty or backports..

LOL that's exactly why I like bubblemon over any gkrellm or anything like that... it's so stinking cute!! (yes, I also have bubblefishymon installed in my gdesklets... it's just that gdesklets can be such a hog that I don't run it all the time...heh.)

I'm not a big eye-candy freak, but gkrellm just looks TERRIBLE. Else I'd use it. But I haven't tried bubblemon

bubblemon is this little "pool" of water... when the water rises, more of your ram is being used, when it bubbles, that's your cpu working.

When you move your mouse over it, it will give you exact values. I adore this applet. :)
