Hello, I just bought a new flat screen tv and it has an RGB input so I decided to try to send my computer screen over to it. My first test was with a 4 foot cable and separate audio cable and everything works flawlessly. Needless to say, I don't want my laptop up near the tv when I want to use the 42" screen, I would like to be sitting comfortably on my couch...or even use the cable with my desktop pc (25 ft away).

I purchased a 25ft cable with the 15-pin and audio combined into one cable (had a little audio pigtail coming off of the 15-pin connector on both ends)...once that was plugged in I couldn't get the tv to display the 1920x1080 screen size anymore...it only has a static noise and the tv throws out a message about and invalid signal.

I returned that 25ft cable and got a heavier gauge 35ft cable and it is doing the same thing.

Are these cables too long to send the 1920x1080 signal through them...or do I just need to tweek some settings???
