Maybe time for Chrome again :l

Chrome will suddenly not render previews of DeviantART pieces of art.
Chrome has Flash Built-in (on windows at least.)
Chrome doesn't have CTRL+Hold left Mouse Button to select multiple portions of elements at once on totally different lines, paragraphs, etc.
Chrome doesn't have "View Image Info" extension installed by default (mandatory for many forum moderators to check signature sizes in both dimensions and file sizes.)

Could go on.

I would rename your .mozilla folder.

Probably just something in your profile....

Back up your bookmarks and your off and running again

See my optimization and troubleshooting tutorials (http://www.webgapps.org/blogs/firefox-tutorials) for Firefox.

If you want to try a new browser, then I would recommend Opera 11, not Chrome. As Lucradia pointed out, Chrome lacks too many features. However I also get occasional crashes with Opera.

I find the Firefox 4 betas to not crash at all... Firefox 3.x is horrible for me.

Thanks lovinglinux, just fresh installed Maverick and Firefox threw an error saying it couldn't start the security process. Instantly fixed with your

rm -r ~/.mozilla/firefoxand a reinstall of Firefox through Synaptic Package Manager
