video problem

hi. recently i install ubuntu 10.10 in my pc. everything works fine except video.
video bit rate is very slow and i am not able to watch videos.if there is any fast movement ,video is strucking..i have inbuilt graphics 256mb.nvidia sound card. i am new to ubuntu.
please help me

First check that any required proprietary drivers are installed.

System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers
