I have a small icy doc enclosure that connected to a desktop and will be used for home backups. There are (4) 750GB drives and I wish to share it via samba to my win7 machine and hopefully my mac.
I have them shown, and the raid5 array screen set but at the 'format 2.3T Raid Array Scheme' and can't find much reading on types. There are;
Master Boot Record
GUID
Don't Partition
Apple Partition Map
I would like to have this device not run 24/7, the machine can, so don't think I want master boot record, but again, unsure and no 'help' on that screen.
Any help or advice on to how to format this is appreciated.
