I'd rather have AMD or nvidia ARM.

And to be quite honest, I like 10 inches better than 7.

It's hardware specs are superior to my netbook, so I believe it would run Ubuntu quite fine with those specs.

Is it the Kno tablet? If so, they will also sell a dual-screen version of it. It opens up like a book! That one looks pretty cool.

Are you talking about this (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/12/dual-screen-ubuntu-based-tablet-kno-to-ship-this-month/)?

All of the sudden the shift away from UNE Interface to Unity makes sense. I wonder how folks will take to Unity on a touchscreen?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was. After all, the link the OP posted leads to the 404 page not found error, and the info about Kno is all in the open. ;)

Why would I pay that much money for a tablet?

OP's link definitely doesn't 404.

Anyway, just in case it is 404ing for some of you I'll attach the picture in question.

This could turn out to be something quite cool. I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for one of these, and Unity would make way more sense on this than it does a desktop.

My thoughts about this, I have also posted the same on the blog post at OMGUbuntu.
If they just sell it running the normal desktop version of Ubuntu, it's going to suck. They should do a version of Ubuntu with a brand new interface designed for Touchscreen.
The UI is the most important part of a device like this, It really needs a UI designed from scratch for use on touchscreen devices. Like iOS on the iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch.

The Kno seems aimed at an academic market and textbooks are insanely overpriced. That's why they can charge more. I am sure the price will come down.

I'd use it for everything!!!! ;)
