Run Application Dialog Box

Using the Update Manager, I upgraded this machine from 8.04 to 10.04. My problem is that the ALT+F2 keystroke to bring up the Run Application dialog box has never worked. Is there a Terminal command I can use to make it appear? What do I need to do to make ALT+F2 work as it should? Thanks for any assistance.

Thank you! I would've never thought to check Compiz. Gnome compatibility was not enabled but now it is and it works.
