hi, just got a new computer today. in my crunchbang laptop, i was going to transfer all of my documents onto a thumb drive, and put it all on my new(er) laptop. however, my toughbook is so old that it just randomly died during the transfer in the form of a power failure. after the reboot, all of my docs are GONE. not sure what to do or how to recover from this. it was only about 5-10mb worth of stuff, but still, major important stuff including my college thesis. please, may i have some advise?
ps this version of crunchbang (9.10 i believe) IS based on ubuntu, and i've cross posted this on the cblinux forums. if anyone knows, please help, thanks.
