I've accidently erased my harddrive when I am trying to delete the mbr from my Windows 7 partition....I haven't reformat my drive yet and booting off with my Ubutun 10.10 cd....is there any software runs on Linux that can do file recovery and undelete files?

Thanks so much!!!!

You may be able to recover partitions with testdisk, or recover files with photorec.

enable the "universe" repository to download testdisk
System>Administration>Software Sources>Ubuntu Software.
