I don't understand why the sub-sub-forum "absolute beginner talk" has to be one level underneath "Beginner Community". In English Class I learned that in making outlines, if there's only one sub-point, it should just be level-ed up.
Here's what I mean:
I
a
b
II
a
III
a
b
c
The a under II should just be expressed in the "II". Hope this makes sense.
So, what I'm trying to say is this: Remove the sub-sub-forum "Absolute Beginner Talk". It only makes sense to have it if there are other sub-sub-forums alongside that sub-sub-forum.

I concur.
If there's only one subforum in "Beginner Community," there should be no "Beginner Community"--just "Absolute Beginner" by itself.

But isn't this to leave it open for other subforums appear? If no, you're right, otherwise, leave as it is.

henri,
when other subforums appear, then that would be the time to dig one level down. But until that time, we shouldn't have a sole sub-forum.

Maybe I'm not getting it right, but I think that removing that subforum would break the uniformity of look of the home page. It would look crippled. Press the arrow to hide it and you understand what I mean.

I guess then this "Beginner's Forum" can't be hidden.

"Absolute Beginner Talk" isn't a subforum - it's a Forum Area; "The Beginner Community" is just the heading/description of the forum area.
Under the Breezy Badger 5.10 Release heading, there are many Forum Areas. The Hardware Help forum area, for example, has three sub-forums.
A Heading needs to have an actual Forum Area below it, and we have separated different forum areas by a Heading - used as a grouping, *not* an outline.
