Hey all!
I'm getting a new laptop for myself in 1-2 weeks but I can't seem to decide upon which one to go with.
My budget is around 1000(+/-200) euros (10.000 +/- 2000 SEK) and I'm looking for a laptop to use as both a replacement station for my studies etc but also something that I can drag along me whenever I travel (which is quite often since I'm studying abroad).

I need it to be able to last 3-4 years with upcoming games and what not. And preferably the more batterylife the better, although its not that crucial.

So far I've managed to narrow it down to a choice between these two:

HP Pavilion dv6-3142so:
-15,6-tums LED-screen
-Intel Core i7-720QM
-6 GB DDR3 RAM
-640 GB HDD
-ATI HD5650 1 GB

For roughly 1100 euros

and

Acer TimelineX AS5820TG-5464G50Mnks:
-15,6-tums LED-screen
-Intel Core i5-460M
-4 GB DDR3 RAM
-500 GB HDD
-ATI HD5650 1GB
-8+ hours battery time (according to Acer. But most likely 5-6h?)

For roughly 900 euros.

HELP ME PICK!!! :(

EDIT:
Forgot to mention the MSI GX660-266NE as well.
• Display - 15.6"Full HD Glare(1920x1080)
• CPU - IntelŪCore™ i5, i5-460M
• Graphics - ATI HD5870 1GDDR5
• Memory - 4GB DDR3
• HDD - 500GB 7200rpm
• OS - Windows 7Home Premium 64bit
• ODD - DVD/RW SM
• WLAN - 802.11BGN
• Bluetooth - yes
• Weight - 3.5Kg
• Dimensions - 396 x 269 x 55 mm

And cost of this MSI is about 1200 euro.

Personally I would not get anything with ATI graphics.
Do a search on the forums for ATI & you will see there are issues with both the open source & proprietary drivers.

Would suggest Nvidia or Intel in that order.

Yea but I'm not planning on using this laptop as a main ubuntu box :P
I got another pc doing that. This one would merely serve as my work/gamestation.
