Joomla installation step 4: (database)

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to install joomla.

Take a look at this:


Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

I use the following settings:

type database: mysql
name host: localhost
username: root
password: ???
naam database: joomla

Why is it not possible to connect to MySQL?

I hope someone knows what goes wrong.

I have installed joomla many time in xampp with no problems..

Did you make a joomla data base with the phpmydamin?

User should be "root" with no password..

The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

How do I enter the administrator site? (if you know what I mean?)
