10.04: jockey-gtk (Hardware Drivers) can't detect Geforce FX 5500

Hi everyone.

It seemed that, recently, a new version of nvidia drivers was released. I uninstalled them, but coming back to the hardware driver installer, it could not detect any drivers.

Does anyone know why, and how I can fix this?

Was able to mostly fix it by apt-get'ing the current drivers, via:



sudo apt-get install nvidia-173


However, something is wrong with the config file. Sigh.
