ok im thinking of buying an xbox 360 controller for my linux comp. however i need to know which does ubuntu support the pc one or the original xbox 360 controller? im getting the wired version and i have ubuntu 10.10

EDIT: i read a readme that my version of ubuntu and its kernel should support the controller out of the box. but i need to know which one IS supported so i dont waste 40 bucks. so xbox360 controller for windows or xbox360 controller for xbox360

EDIT 2: i have done a lot of googleing and i still havent gotten a conclusive answer

o oki i found the answer. apparently they r the same thing except the windows one comes with a driver disc and since ubuntu 10.10 uses a kernel with a working driver preinstalled this doesnt matter

FYI, its considered rude to bump threads before 24 hrs has passed. Patience is a virtue....

I'd guess that the PC version would be what your after, but without doing some searching I'm not 100% sure.
