I've installed UNR 10.10 on an Asus EEE, and I'm not in love with Unity.

I assume that there is some way to get the standard GUI with the Applications, Places, System, etc. on the toolbar. (I have no idea what the real name of this, but its what every desktop Ubuntu has had since 8.04 or earlier.

How do I switch to the desktop-style GUI?
I assume I can switch back and forth, is this correct? How do I do that?

Thanks
Pat

I think Unity is a bit messy too.
When you boot up and your login screen turns up, there is a drop-down menu in the bottom, where you can choose between Ubuntu Desktop and Ubuntu Netbook Edition. Just choose Ubuntu Desktop Edition, and then you get the standard GUI.
