hi guys

I've noticed a trange thing with the battery of my HP dv5000. During normal Wi-Fi and Internet applications, the charge percentage dropped suddenly from around 70% to 6%... see the attachment for the graph. Anyone call tell me what's happening, if it's me that i've done something strange, or the battery has some broken cells inside?

Also, is there any linux application to monitor the battery more precisely and can tell me how much the internal cells are damaged?

Thanks,
Max

UPDATE: this is the graph after the system told me that battery was fully charged. Seems that only 30% of the battery can be recharged, am I right?

I had been having the same problem with the same laptop. The battery could only hold enough juice for about 2 minutes of use. I got a new battery and it lasts nearly 3 hours long if I don't do CPU-heavy tasks.
