I just installed Kubuntu 10.10 on my Dell E1505 (wireless card: Intel Pro/Wireless 3945 ABG). My card seems to be working fine as it detects wireless networks. But it hasn't been accepting my password for my home network. I checked that all the wireless security settings were the same as in my install of Ubuntu, but no luck.
My working connection through Ubuntu uses WEP with a custom set password. When I try to enter that in Kubuntu, the connection fails, and the security setting automatically swaps to the Hex or Ascii Key option with a long string of numbers and letters..
I've tried using the WEP key listed on the label of my modem, but still no connection.
Perplexing because I used the exact same settings in Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
Any ideas?
