Hi all!

I'm having a serious problem with my Brother DCP-7030 all-in one printer. I installed the Cups and LPR driver as instructed on the Brother website and everything works fine until I restart the computer. After having restarted the computer I cannot see the printer and therefore can't print. No printer is listed. However, I can use the built-in scanner normally... When I reinstall the driver everything works fine until a restart.

I'd appreciate any help!

Thank you!

How do you "reinstall the driver" ?

Well I downloaded the files and followed these instructions:

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public_s/id/linux/en/instruction_prn1a.html

When I "reinstall" I just do the same again and it works until I reboot...

I made a google search and found this (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-hardware-18/ubuntu-9-04-64bit-and-brother-dcp-7030-cannot-install-driver-801845/), have you seen it?

Also, have you tried to e-mail or call their customer support? Since they do give official Linux support, they should help you out, I think.
