Upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10, 64 bit desktop machine. Had some graphics problems but fell back to saved configuration and they went away.

Now when I'm logged on and try to "switch user" or "logout" the system hangs. I have to unplug the power and do a cold boot. Don't know where to start.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
