Gimp 2 plugin to gimp 2.2 work?

Will the gimp 2.0 stable svg plugin work in gimp 2.2?

probably not, since gimp 2.2 has it's own version of the gimp-svg plugin...

Oh yeah where is that plugin, I can't work with svg at the moment in gimp 2.2. Do I have to go to the gimp site and install it manually?

Well i got it working... i'm just not sure what the differences are... maybe the splash image.... ;-)

Yukonjack: I pulled down all of the gimp 2.2 from the warty backports repositories, including gimp-svg.
