hi, i liked the podcast

you mentioned afew things in the podcast which i think you should put links for in the show notes (with the feed)

also, here's a short podcast about using audacity for podcasting by Dan at tllts. btw, i think the sound was very good for a first show

Thanks. I already use Audacity to edit the podcast etc., though I will still listen to that one.

I will be putting show notes for the next podcast on the blog :)

Thanks for your feedback.

One last thing, I want to know if the volume is too low? Most songs on my mp3 player I keep at 12 / 25 for volume. Most podcasts I keep at 20 / 25, and this one I needed like 23 , 24 / 25.

on my laptop, with both the system and the media player's volume at full, it is very low. i'll have to check it out on my workstation when i'm back at home to listen to the rest.

cool that you're putting effort into this though.

wait until someone else comments before you do that. it most certainly COULD be my laptop. are you normalizing or compressing at all?

JoshHendo
May 14th, 2006, 02:18 AM
I use Audacity to normalise some parts. Also, some other people have commented on the volume too (not just on this thread) :). I have also noticed that it was soft, as I needed my mp3 player on full to hear it.

I've just downloaded the podcast and started it. The volume seems better, but noise from your breathing into the microphones is still destroying a bit of the feeling :)

JoshHendo
May 14th, 2006, 04:31 PM
Lol, that is only at the very start of it :P (don't know why :/). I have put a thing on my mic so you wojn't hear that as much next week :P
