thank you pytheas, that did allow me to install it. now i only have one question.

you said now all i had to do was load my drivers into ndiswrapper. how do i go about doing that?

also, on ubuntu 10.10, at the top where the internet logo is, when i click on it, it says "wireless networks disconnected"

thanks,
matt

There are instructions here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper) for loading the Windows drivers into ndiswrapper. Hopefully they will get you where you need to be; if not, let me know.

That's because it is disconnected. You need to get the Windows drivers loaded into ndiswrapper, after which you should be able to connect.
