Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to hide document or file names. Specifically for my PDF's. That's it. Thanks.

if you put a full stop infront of the file name it becomes a hidden file

I don't want to make it a hidden file i just don't want to see the filename.

Wait, you want to hide the file name (but still see the file) in a file manager (ie nautilus)?

Why not just rename it?

I don't think a 'file manager' would be able to hide the file name of a file that it is supposed to be listing to you...

Ok...so see the icon, but not the name? don't know why you'd want to do that and don't know how either... :-)

I think you'll need to explain a bit more what you mean. If its not hidden, how do you expect not to see it?
