RTL819Xe on Maverick (Unity)

Can anyone clarify the current situation regarding network card RTL819Xe. I have this card on my Samsung n150. I was able to get it working OK on Lucid but on upgrade to Maverick I found that the card would not connect. It just keeps asking for a password.

By going into recovery mode and selecting the earlier kernel I can get the card to connect, but it will not survive a suspend and comes back as unavailable.

There appears to be a few bugs drifting around related to Lucid for this card, and I can find some 'rumours' regarding a kernel problem for this card on Maverick.

Does anyone know the current situation and if there is a fix lined up?

Same problem for me - does anyone know if there is a fix in the pipe for this please?

Well just had a new kernel and new drivers delivered via update-manager, the only difference is that often on boot now, the wireless card comes up as -not ready, or disconnected - if its not that then it wont connect, as per normal.

Seems like I'm Doomed.......
