Sims 2 and add-ons

Is there any way to get Sims 2 and the add on packs working in ubuntu?

As an utter Noob I wouldn't even have a clue where to start!

But you could try with wine.

Ok, how would I do it with WINE? I simply have no idea where to start. I assume WINE is a windows emulator type thing?

The sims 2 will not work on WINE. Try using Cedega, that usually works
