iSight issue

Ok, I extracted the driver from the MacOS, and the iSight camera works fine when I cold boot my computer from 'off.' However, if I reboot the computer into Ubuntu, it tells me 'cannot identify device /det (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MactelSupportTeam/AppleiSight)v/video0.' I tried to write a startup script using these instructions: (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MactelSupportTeam/AppleiSight) but I am new to Linux and it honestly confused the hell out of me.

Any help would be most graciously appreciated!
