Hi!

I have Ubuntu 10.10 x64 installed on my SONY VAIO VGN-Z21MRN laptop.

I use USB 3.0 ExpressCard/34 adapter (http://www.vantecusa.com/en/product/view_detail/407) (NEC µPD720200 based) and
two USB 3.0 HDD docking stations. RAIDSONIC Icy Box IB-110StU3 (http://www.raidsonic.de/en/products/external-cases.php?we_objectID=6834) ( LucidPort USB300 based) and Thermaltake BlacX 5G (http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?S=1268&ID=1981) (JMicron JMS539 based).

Internal laptop HDD is 500Gb Seagate Momentus 7200.4 (ST9500420AS) and external HDD is 1Tb Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C (HDS721010CLA332).

Transfer rate in Windows XP Pro (x86) about 90/70 Mb/s (Read/Write), but in Ubuntu Linux 10.10 (x64) transfer rate about 45/35 Mb/s (Read/Write) only.

Is it normal?
