View Full Version : [ubuntu] USB drive unavailable to new user login

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 and my external USB drive mounts fine. It only mounts for the first user who logs into the computer. If that person logs off and someone else logs in the USB drive is unavailable to the new user. I can see it's in /media/ but when attempting to access it says doesn't have permission. Each of the users set up on the system are set up with external device privileges.

While I can unmount and re-mount under the new user this seems like odd behavior to me. Perhaps I'm just missing an option that would make this drive available to all users?
